Spring in a Burgundy Garden

After the long and dark months of winter, spring in Burgundy is a well needed shot in the arm. Months of rain and cold make way for seemingly endless days of warm sunshine and a feel of summer arrives.

Along with the vines that cover the hillsides, the plants in the garden race out of the ground.  Countless resilient weeds  need pulling, but this time of year allows a gardener to take stock, plan for the summer ahead and remember what has been planted and replant for a new season.
